F2F Challenge- My Goal

I forgot to tell you

So Ive actually been kicking some serious booteeeey. Mine to be exact. I have been working my dupah off and enduring some pain and suffering. lol - I'm not dramatic am i?

I have "withheld" a bit of info from you...

OK, OK that WAS like 4 weeks ago, but I am still recovering. I severely ripped a tendon and found that I had some previous damage from the same but worse injury that hasn't healed properly like 15 years ago. Lame in a half.

ANYWAY my point is I didn't tell anyone because, well, I didn't. I figured athletes and runners endure injuries like this all the time and keep going so I could too.  I've been pushing myself but also making sure to take good care of my ankle...i.e. icing it, elevating it, taking anti-inflamitories and doing specific stretches. It's still swollen slightly and tender and tight but really I am proud of myself for not giving up and lying back and having an "extended" recovery. :) Yet another reason I am so glad to have been chosen for this challenge.

PS I'm really only telling you this so you will give me a lot of "atta girls" and other such praise.

  4. Kristi!

You are doing fabulous! YAY! So proud of you for sticking with it even during injuries!

Be careful with that foot though cuz if it doesnt heal properly then you will have worse problems down the road! :( And . . . if THAT WERE to happen, I will HAVE to spend the rest of our lives being the sister who is always saying "I told you so" . . . . LOL

Hmmm . . . I was thinking maybe it would be better to look for an elliptical trainer instead of a treadmill that way you wont be pounding on your foot/knees! Just a thought anyway.

    Keep us posted! Venessa
